In Portugal, we’ve often had drinks, dinners, and the odd BBQ, BUT… on the 6th & 7th of May 2022, we celebrated our first official Portugal Getting Together in the charming city (and UNESCO World Heritage) of Évora. This event brought together colleagues from Portugal and the rest of Europe for a weekend of surprises and shared experiences.
Vigil’s office set the stage for the beginning of our adventure-filled weekend and rendezvous point. With the knowledge to pack comfortable clothing, yet unsure of the plan, we ventured on a Kart racing challenge in Pamela’s International track. What a great adrenaline-filled start to our Getting Together! There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and banter all around.
After the thrill of the race, we replenished our energy levels with a delicious lunch in a traditional Portuguese tavern in Palmela Castle, which offers a captivating panoramic view. A trip to Alentejo is synonymous with wine tasting, and Ervideira provided a memorable, tailored experience. The wine tour was followed by a wine tasting along with traditional product degustation.
A new day, a new challenge: a Peddy Paper adventure in the heart of historic Évora. We walked around the old walled area of the city’s historic centre, and had the chance to participate in a friendly and dynamic competition as teams.
It’s worth mentioning that the actual journey itself was as much fun as the activities themselves. There’s no doubt that the joyful coach journey made the whole experience even better with the lively singing, dancing, and laughter.
This unique gathering in Évora was more than just a team-building event; it was a celebration of our unity and shared values. Here’s to more adventures and to continuing to build a united and committed team! Thank everyone for making this Getting Together in Portugal so memorable!
